Cells and Yeast Lysis

Lysis refers to the breaking down of the membrane of a cell that could be mamelian, bacteria, yeast or algae. Lysis is achieved to retreive the components that are inside such as proteins, DNA, RNA, antibodies. Cells are engineered to build specific compounds that are recovered after lysis. The most efficient way to lyse is using high shear rates is the smallest amount of time to reduce damage to the compounds and maximize their final activity. (Source Wikipedia)

Our instruments can lyse cell with the following advantages:

  • Higher yield
  • Maximize active compound
  • Less passes
  • Guarantee easy scalability
  • Easy clean (no unmounting)
  • cGMP compliance
